摘要

Trust is a major obstacle in the adoption and development of mobile commerce. Further, the security and privacy are major concerns that significantly impact mobile users' trust to mobile commerce. Automated trust negotiation (ATN) is an approach to establishing mutual trust between strangers wishing to share resources or conduct business. However, limitations in the processing power, battery life and communication bandwidth constrain the applicability of ATN for mobile devices. This paper presents a trust negotiation support framework to integrate ATN into a mobile commerce environment using a thin client approach. This framework enables bilateral trust establishment, provides trust decisions to mobile users in terms of the result of trust negotiations, and guarantees mobile users' security and privacy during mobile commerce transactions.
