摘要

In this letter, an effective approach that aims at minimizing the peak-sidelobe level of uniform amplitude concentric ring arrays (UACRAs) is presented. The element number in each ring is specified by a new deterministic formulation derived from the continuous weighting-density approximation. Meanwhile, the ring radii are adjusted by a fine-adjustment synthesis procedure. This newly developed method is flexible to synthesize UACRAs with multiple constraints, such as total number of array elements, aperture size, and minimum element spacing. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the outperformance of this approach.
