摘要
A new automatic image segmentation method is proposed based on simplified PCNN and the minimum scatter within clusters. The fired and a unfired nerves of the PCNN corresponding to pixels of a image are considered as the target and the background respectively. The scatter within clusters is calculated at each iteration. The optimal segmentation result is obtained when the minimum scatter within clusters is achieved. Experimental results show that the method can achieve better image segmentation and has a common applicability.
