A new type AC/DC/AC converter for contactless power transfer system

A new type AC/DC/AC high frequency converter is presented, which is based on the series resonance and suitable for the contactless power transfer (CPT) system. This converter can avoid shortcomings of traditional AC/DC/AC converter which include DC filter and DC adjuster, and it can simplify the control of the sine voltage output of second circuit. This paper introduces the topology and operating principle of the converter. Different running modes are analyzed with accurate modeling. Simulation and experiments verify the analysis results.
