Differential thermal analysis study of phase segregation of Ti2AlC under high pressure and high temperature

摘要

The method of differential thermal analysis is applied to the study of phase segregation of Ti2AlC at high hydrostatic pressure up to 5 GPa. It is very useful for detecting the phase decomposition temperature and the thermal stability of materials under high pressure. The phase decomposition temperature of Ti2AlC detected was 890 /- 10 degrees C at 5 GPa and 1030 /- 10 degrees C at 4 GPa. The presented in situ high-pressure differential thermal analysis (HPDTA) result is in good agreement with our previous XRD results.
