摘要

In this paper, the relationship between technological innovative capability and competitive advantage of nongovernmental enterprise is empirically examined. Technological innovative capability is measured with two dimensions: R&D conditions and technological level, while competitive advantage is reflected by performance comparison among firms in the same industry. Analysis based on the survey of 254 nongovernmental enterprises in Zhejiang indicates technological level has more effect on firm competitive advantage than R&D conditions as their impacts are positive. The results suggest that nongovernmental enterprises should promote their competitive advantage more through elevating technological level rather than simply investing on R&D conditions.
