This note provides a compact integer linear programming formulation of the personnel scheduling problem presented in the article by B. L. Kaluzny and A. Hill, INFOR, Vol. 49, No. 3, August 2011, pp. 221-231. This formulation is easily solved to optimality by available solvers and results in less total unmet demand (overtime).
