摘要

A novel butterfly-shape linear ultrasonic motor was proposed and designed. The idle speed is 0.75 m/sec, and the output force is 16N, which is 22 times of the stator weight at the prepresure of 70 N. The maximum efficiency is 42% at the output thrust of 8N and the speed of 0.51 m/sec when the mechanical output power is 4.08 W. It utilized two orthogonal vibration modes. One is symmetrical mode and the other is anti-symmetrical mode and their composited modes. Based on analysis of the vibration modes of the stator, the kinematics model of the stator was build and the elliptical track of the driving tips was deduced.
