摘要
The size effects during the oxidation-reduction treatment (ORT) of Co nanoparticles in the Co/SiO2 catalyst were studied. The results of ORT on Co nanoparticles depended on the initial size distribution of nanoparticles; for small nanoparticles, ORT did not lead to further decrease in size. (The threshold size was obviously less than 10-15 nm.) The critical size of Co particles depended on the conditions of oxidation and reduction, i.e., the heating rate, the composition of the gas mixture, etc.
