摘要

In this letter, a novel broadband dipole antenna for UHF RFID transponder, which offers global functionality across different regulatory areas is proposed. The proposed antenna has a measured bandwidth front 0.83 to 1 GHz. (18.5%) where the power reflection coefficient is below - 10 dB for conjugate matching with an EPC class 1 Gen 2 chip, which is sufficient to cover the whole bond (0.86-0.96 GHz) regulated by EPC global class 1 Getz 2 protocol (ISO/IEC 18000 6c). Additionally, an equivalent circuit model for such kind of antenna is presented to illustrate the broadband impedance matching characteristic between the antenna and the chip.
