A novel cycloconverter-fed wound rotor induction motor drive system in coal mine

摘要

About 90% of coal mine hoist are driven by wound rotor induction motor in China, though this type drive has many disadvantages. With the development of technology, there are many types of drive system with good performance. But in restriction of economy and product conditions, we can't reform the whole drive system. It's significant to study a low-cost drive system. In this paper, a novel scheme is proposed to improve performance of deceleration and creep in wound rotor induction motor drive mode. Two groups of 6-pulse blocking mode cycloconverter connected as "V" shape will produce low-frequency supply for creep.
