摘要

The work discusses problems related to assessment of stream current and electrification effectiveness in case of water electro-aerosol with high initial droplet velocity. "Dry fog" water aerosol was generated using Telesto EFEN gasodynamic atomizers with supersonic air flow produced by de Laval nozzle. Droplet electrification was accomplished by electrostatic induction using dc-supplied HV ring electrode build in into the nozzle orifice. A computerized measurement set-up used for testing of EFEN atomizers is presented and problems related to assessment of high-velocity electro-aerosol stream current are illustrated by experimental results obtained for EFEN atomizers meant for agricultural and decontamination purposes.
