摘要

A series of novel methods for the growth (or similar growth) equations are proposed and derived, and they are much more accurate and faster than the classical numerical methods. Numerical results for Raman amplifier propagation equations show that the proposed methods can improve the accuracy by more than one and even two orders of magnitude in comparison with the classical methods under the same conditions, and the computing speed increases more than an order of magnitude in comparison with the classical fourth-stage Runge-Kutta method under the same accuracy. Model equations of erbium-doped fibre amplifiers (EDFAs) can be readily solved by the use of the proposed methods.
