摘要

In many mobile RFID applications, not only tag detection and identification but also location and ordering of tagged items are attracting interest. In this paper, an advanced method for ordering and localization of tagged items on conveyor belts based on received signal characteristics is presented. We leverage the Doppler frequency shift to calculate the relative velocity between tags and RFID antennas, and then we build a relative motion model to get the order of the moving tags. Compared with the traditional approaches, we got a higher accuracy, the results show that this system achieves an accuracy of 97% even with a small neighboring tag space of 0.1m and a high conveyor speed of 4m/s.
