Adaptive synchronization of uncertain chaotic colpitts oscillators based on parameter identification

This Letter uses systematic tools from recent papers to design non-linear observers for synchronization of a chaotic colpitts oscillator both in the non adaptive and adaptive cases. It is shown that all parameters of a totally uncertain model of the oscillator can be estimated through adaptive synchronization. A strategy for practical implementation of a secure communication strategy is also discussed. © 2005 Elsevier B.V.
