摘要

A scheme is put forward of adopting twin exhaust cams to realize internal EGR, and AVL FIRE software is used to conduct a 3D numerical simulation on the working process of a diesel engine to study the law of the effects of internal EGR on the in-cylinder flow field, the distributions of turbulent kinetic energy and O2 concentration, heat release rate and combustion pollutants in the induction process of engine. A comparative emission test is also performed on eight working conditions with and without internal EGR to verify the NOx emission reduction effects of twin exhaust cams, providing references for improving the combustion and emission performances of diesel engine with low cost.
