摘要

For resource allocation in cloud computing, a combinatorial auction is one of popular solutions for its dynamic pricing and efficient resource allocation. The other issue of resource allocation in cloud computing is meeting SLA (Service Level Agreement) established with a user. To increase cloud provider's profit, reducing the penalty cost for SLA violation is more important than reducing the cost of wasting resources. We present resource allocation mechanism in a combinatorial auction to increase the provider's profit by reducing the penalty cost for SLA violation. To evaluate the effectiveness of our mechanism, we perform extensive simulation experiments with real workloads and show that our mechanism generates higher profit and resource utilization.
