摘要

This paper reports a new approach for fibre density determination by laser diffraction. The problem of determining the fibre density of virgin and proton-irradiated fibre has been investigated applying the above approach. Using this simple setup, the experimental density of PET microfibre can be measured with an accuracy of 3.03% for the virgin sample and 3.97% for irradiated samples.
