摘要

In the design phase of a floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT) need to consider impact of structure to aerodynamic, this article focuses on the surge motion of a full configuration wind turbine with the rotating blades, hub, nacelle, and tower. The wake flow of floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT) affects the power generation efficiency. The wind turbine tower will change characteristics of wake flow to affects the efficiency of power generation. This paper investigates wind turbine tower for aerodynamic influence on surge motion, two models were used in the simulation process. One is the full configuration wind turbine model and other is the three-bladed turbine model (rotor blade alone). In this paper, the commercial CFD software Star-CCM was used. Complex flow interactions among blade tip vortices, tower shedding vortices, and turbulent wakes are physically observed. Comparisons of different aerodynamic analyses are summarized to show the accuracy of the commercial CFD software. The present result indicates that the tower will cause the efficiency of wind turbine power generation to be reduced.
