In order to study the law of load distribution of submerged floating tunnel tubes under uniform flow, large eddy simulation was adopted to calculate the flow field around submerged floating tunnels of five different types of sections. The influence of different uniform flow velocities, aspect ratios and inclinations of incident flow on lift and drag coefficients and pressure distribution around the submerged floating tunnels were compared. The results show as follows: Along with raizing of the inflow velocity, the pressures on the structure surface grow by squares, the hexagonal section exhibits slightly increased life coefficients and slightly decreased drag coefficients and the life and drag coefficients of the elliptical section are both reduced with small amplitudes; as the aspect ratio of the structural cross-section increases, the life and drag coefficients of the rectangular cross-section first decrease and then increase, and the lift and drag coefficients of the elliptical cross-section both reduce; along with increasing of the inclination of the uniform flow, for the elliptical section, the lift coefficient increases, the drag coefficient decreases and the circumferential pressure distribution is no longer symmetrical to the horizontal axis of the structure.
