摘要

While implementing Active Noise Control (ANC) systems to axial fans, whether to both intake and output or to only one of the openings, a Sound Power Level (SWL) active reduction of 7.8 dB was demonstrated, in addition to 3.3 dB of passive reduction. This generic unit produces a low level of noise compared to an axial fan with the same capacity of airflow and same dimensions. Also the duct encasing the axial fan offers better peak efficiency (higher stall point) in the Fan Performance Curve (FPC), therefore yielding an air-moving device which can cope better with higher system resistance. The generic unit can be used with any mechanical system that requires airflow induction, such as computers, air conditioners and machines.
