摘要

This study evaluated the relationship between laterality right (right handed) and left (left handed) and a set of variables of geographical, anthropometric, functional and spine. The final selection of the sample, comprising of 2956 participants, aged between 8 and 12 years, belonging to the province of Granada, was conducted by sampling in response to a natural composition of the groups. We selected a number of measurement tools (inventory manual laterality Ediburgh, Adams test, BMI test, and flexibility) to collect the selected variables. The results indicated that 10% (n = 295) were left-handed and the remaining 90%, RH. No statistically significant differences were found between laterality and the variables of geographical, anthropometric, and functional spinal selected. As main findings highlight the need to develop programs to prevent obesity in children and tailored programs to prevent and treat diseases of the spine in schoolchildren.
