A note on negacyclic self-dual codes over Z(2a)

In this note, we investigate negacyclic self-dual codes over Z(2a) using the higher torsion codes. It is proved that all negacyclic self-dual codes over Z(2a) are of Type I. Examples of extreme Type I codes over Z(2a) from negacyclic codes are given.
