The paper discusses the applications of land readjustment while solving various spatial problems. An analysis of land readjustments in Slovenia from 2002 until today is performed and a comparison considering the applications of land readjustment in Slovenia and in other countries, and for other kinds of applications, is made. The assumption that in Slovenia land readjustment is used in areas planned for new construction (housing and business) has been proven valid. However, the applications of land readjustments for other purposes shown in this paper remain unexploited. Indeed, all application options are probably not needed in Slovenia, but it makes sense to make an analysis of these options, thereby providing the basis for future substantive development of land readjustment.
