摘要
We analyse a Galerkin method for the viscous shallow water equations on the unit sphere using spherical splines. A priori error estimates for semi-discrete and fully discrete schemes are derived. In particular, the proposed fully discrete scheme has second order accuracy in time. Numerical experiments support our theoretical results.
