摘要

This paper presents the results of experimental researches regarding on the possible use of high-speed steel (HSS) chips to obtain compact with good wear resistance, which can then be used as removable plates in the process of cutting. From the recovered chips from finishing tools grinding made of high-speed steel were elaborated fine powders by ball mill with different milling times. The samples from recovered powders was obtained by unilateral compacting in die and sintered in argon at a different temperatures followed by a heat treatment. After the samples have been obtained, was measured the hardness and friction coefficient.
