摘要

Three formyl group functional cross-linking polystyrene resins of p-formylphenoxymethyl, p-formyl-2-methoxphenoxymethyl, and p-formyl-3-methoxphenoxymethyl were facilely and rapidly synthesized from Merrifield resin under phase transfer catalytic condition coupling with microwave irradiation (MI-PTC) in a domestic microwave oven. Under MI-PTC condition, these resins can be prepared for about only one hour respectively, while more than eight. hours was in need under conventional heating. In this study, a mild power input of 158 W was used, and tetrabutylammonium iodide was considered as the best phase transfer catalyst. The process of reaction was monitored by FTIR spectra, and the conversion rates were determined by elemental analysis. This method provides a facile and rapid transformation of functionalized resin in a mild reaction system.
