摘要
A simple and efficient approach for the fabrication of antimony pentoxide-carbon composite with ultrathin carbon coatings is reported. The ultrathin carbon layer was made on the metal oxide surface by a two-step procedure: (1) selective polymerization of pyrrole on the surface of antimony pentoxide and (2) thermolysis at high temperature. The carbon content was found to be controlled in a range of 0.53% to 2.15% by adjusting a mixing ratio between metal oxide and pyrrole. The electrical conductivity of the composites increased up to 1.79x10(-5) S/cm with an increase of the carbon content. Owing to its simplicity for achieving uniform carbon coating, this approach will provide a viable method to form various metal oxide-carbon composite materials for energy applications.
