Petroleum migration and accumulation in Cretaceous of Dabasong uplift of central Junggar Basin

摘要

Geological and organic-inorganic geochemical feautres were investigated for hydrocarbon show in Cretaceous of Dabasong uplift of central Junggar Basin. On the basis of the features, the petroleum migration and accumulation type was analyzed, which in turn implies the controlling factor of petroleum migration and accumulation and provides valuable information for shaping petroleum exploration strategies. The results show that petroleum has migrated, whereas not accumulated in the Dabasong uplift. The main reasons are deficiency of hydrocarbon charging intensity and unfavorable trap conditions. Therefore, oil and gas intervals can be formed and discovered if the reservoir is placed in the hydrocarbon migration conduit system and faults connect oil-source sags and traps. This new understanding was obtained by using a new method of addressing the controlling factor of petroleum migration and accumulation by analyzing its type, which can be used to identify the controlling factor of petroleum migration and accumulation.
