摘要

This paper presents a mean shift based tracker for fast moving object tracking. Mean shift tracker is an efficient technique for object tracking. However, the traditional Mean-shift tracker has difficulty to tracking fast moving target and suffers in local optimal problem. To overcome the limitation of Meanshift tracking algorithm, SIFT feature is employed to detect the rough position of target. Based on the rough position Mean-shift algorithm is employed to achieve precise tracking of the target. Simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithm can effectively track fast moving target and overcome the tracking error cumulating problems.
