In the paper, divided into two parts, a problem of electric power quality assessment in the isolated systems based on the case of ship networks is discussed. Part I is devoted for defining the subject under consideration and presentation of the parameters and legal instruments of the assessment. Part II is addressed to problems of the measurement methods and related instrumentation. Particularly a proposal of a new estimator-analyzer of electric power quality, dedicated to application in shipbuilding was presented.
