摘要

The new interpretation of E-shaped microstrip patch antenna is presented. E-shaped antenna can be treated as a pair of symmetrically fed broadband diploes folded into compact structure with frequency band up to 25%. Proposed antenna was used as element to build pair of antenna arrays for 1.92-2.17 GHz and 1.5-1.75 GHz frequency bands. The electric size of proposed antenna arrays is about 1.3X1.3 wavelengths which is hardly reachable for air substrate single-layer microstrip antennas operating in 15% bandwidth. The results of theoretical and experimental investigations of matching and gain properties of proposed antennas are presented.
