摘要

Restoration of any point in time view is a bottleneck for continuous data protection systems. This paper presents a mixed storage architecture with NVRAM organizing temporary data, SSD storing incremental data, and HDD storing history mirror data. Segment and delay writing is used when writing incremental data on SSD, which overcomes the limit of random write performance. The restoration process takes full advantage of the random read performance of SSD and provides a fast view and restoration method. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed architecture can approximately achieve 50 times that of the recovery speed compared with traditional single storage architectures.
