摘要

Intumescence flame retardant (IFR) coating gum was prepared by using waterborne polyacrylic ester as binding agent while ammonium polyphosphate as acid source, pentaerythritol as carbon source, and melamine as gas source. The gum was applied on poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fabric and then waterborne polyurethane (PU) was added coating. Compact, integrate and smooth carbon layer was obtained when the content of three flame retardant was kept at some range. The residue carbon layer was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). It shows that the content of P in residue carbon is far more than in prime gum, and P, C, Si is enriched in residue carbon, which plays great flame retardant role. Good handle, less chromatism, lower smoke and less toxicity is obtained as IFR is applied on PET fabric. But the flame retardant performance of the fabric decreases after laundering-recycle.
