摘要

In this paper, we present the applications of Maple Software to study the generalized fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation with time-dependent coefficients, which arises in modeling of physical phenomena. The nonlinear evolution equation u(t) + alpha(t)u(2)u(x) + beta(t)u(x)u(xx) + gamma(t)uu(xxx) + delta(t)u(xxxxx) = 0, where u is function of x and t, describes the interaction between a water wave and a floating ice cover and gravity-capillary wave. We apply the Lie group formalism to construct some new and physically important solutions.
