摘要

This paper presents the assessment of air quality in the influence area of Turceni power plant from Gorj County during 2012-2013 regarding / lioand heavy metals contents. The network of air quality monitoring station in the Turceni area includes one automatic air quality monitoring industrial station (code GJ - 3) located in the northwest to plant. With this automatic station was monitored particulate matter, especially P11110 fraction. Reference method for the sampling and measurement of PM10 fraction is described in the European Standard EN 1234111998. Heavy metals in ambient air due to the intervention of Turceni power plant investigated were: lead, arsenic, cadmium and nickel. The measurement methods used for heavy metals assessment comply with those reccomended in SR EN 1490212007. The lowest number of exceedances of the PM10 io daily average concentrations was recorded in 2013 when the percentage was 4.4% of all validated measurements. The number of exceedances represented 8.9% of all measurements in 2012. During the two years of study and number of exceedances, and the highest concentrantions of quality indicators evaluated occurred during the cold season (December-February). All heavy metal (Pb, As, Cd, concentrations determined in particulate matter were below the maximum permissible levels for them. Experimental results obtained showed that particulate matter in the air are coming from coal combustion to obtain electrical energy by Turceni Power Thermal Station, coal warehouse, slag and ashes warehouse, car traffic in the area, and residential heating during the winter season.
