摘要

In this study, the response surface methodology (RSM) was employed to optimize three operating variables of adsorption process including initial pH, adsorbent dose and initial dye concentration for the removal of reactive blue 19 dye using dried pulp and paper sludge. Optimum conditions were obtained at initial pH of 3.06, adsorbent dose of 9.34 g/L and initial dye concentration of 97.65 mg/L. Dye removal efficiency of 94.47% was observed which confirms close to RSM results (95% of dye removal efficiency). According to the ANOVA results, the model presents a high R(2)-value of 99.5% for reactive blue 19 dye removal using dried pulp and paper sludge. For the real textile wastewater (containing reactive blue 19), dye removal efficiency of 77.67% under optimum conditions of RSM was obtained. Desorption studies of the obtained dye-loaded adsorbent under optimum RSM conditions were also examined, and maximum desorption efficiency of 56.65% was obtained for 0.1 M NaOH solution.
