摘要

In this paper, fuzzy logic-based controllers were applied to active vibration control of a smart flexible beam with mass uncertainty through experimental studies. The smart beam is equipped with a piezoceramic sensor and actuator. First, considering different fuzzy inputs, conventional fuzzy controllers were proposed to control the vibration of the smart beam. Then, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode (AFSM) controller, which can deal with the model uncertainties, was developed. In order to verify the robustness of proposed algorithms, different additional masses were added to the beam as mass uncertainties. Furthermore, the performance of the conventional fuzzy controller and the AFSM controller under earthquake excitation was also tested on a shaker table. The experimental results indicate that both the conventional fuzzy controller and the AFSM controller can effectively control the vibration of the beam without model uncertainties. However, with model uncertainties the AFSM controller was better than the conventional fuzzy controller in vibration suppression.
