摘要

To reduce the number of power switches, a new control method focused on a new system with one five-leg inverter and two three-phase machines is proposed. Firstly, three phase duty cycles for each machine is calculated using space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) method; then, considering line voltages, minimum duty cycles are obtained, which meet the requirement of the entire system; finally, according to the equal principle of two zero vectors, the final values of five duty cycles are determined to control two machines. Due to the tracking of minimum duty cycles, the minimum duty cycles of all legs can be obtained. Based on the performances of the new system, two possible operation modes are introduced. In the first operation mode, the velocities of two machines are complementary, which makes the dc bus voltage requirement for two-machine systems and single machine systems similar. In the second operation mode, the new system is a fault-tolerant strategy, in which the velocity is reduced and the total torque keeps unchanged. The control method and the two possible operation modes are verified by experimental results.
