摘要

Immersive human-computer interaction (HCI) is being paid more and more attention to in computer-aided design (CAD) field. In this paper, a true three dimensional (3D) design system based on augmented reality (AR) technology is proposed and realized. Magnetic tracking calibration algorithm is presented to register the virtual object into real world. Collision detection is adopted to select the virtual object to be manipulated. Static and dynamic gesture recognition algorithms are proposed to accomplish the naturally HCI. By introducing AR technology, the system expands the designer's workspace form 2D plane to real 3D space and allows the designers to carry out their designing in a natural, intuitional and efficient interactive mode instead of the traditional complicated human computer interface, which enhances the designer's immersion feeling in a great extent.
