摘要

Analyzing power quality (PQ) is becoming increasingly difficult with the increase in the complexity of the non-stationary waveforms in PQ because of the much wider usage of nonlinear loads and electronic equipment than before. To address this issue, an approach that involves decomposing electrical signals through adaptive local iterative filter decomposition (ALIFD) is proposed in this study to analyze the disturbances related to PQ. The Fokker-Planck equation is introduced to structure the filter function so that ALIFD would demonstrate excellent performance in extracting characteristic components from non-stationary waveforms containing noise. Compared with empirical mode decomposition (EMD), which is the typical intrinsic mode IMF) sifting approach, ALIFD has solid foundations in elementary mathematics and can prevent mode mixing. Signal testing results and measured data reveal the feasibility of the proposed method. Comparative analyses confirm that ALIFD exhibits better adaptation to PQ disturbance than EMD.
