Broadband noise cancellation based on hybrid FXRLS algorithm

A new adaptive active noise control method based on hybrid FXRLS algorithm is proposed in this paper for broadband noise cancellation system for a duct. Firstly, the traditional FXLMS is derived and analyzed, then RLS algorithm is used to improve the LMS algorithm's performance. And an improved hybrid FXRLS algorithm is proposed based on LQR theory and FXRLS algorithm. Finally the proposed algorithms were implemented on a Texas Instruments digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335 and real time experiments were done to test the proposed algorithm. Also the experimental results of FXLMS and FXRLS algorithm were given to test the control performance of the proposed algorithm. The experimental verification tests show that the convergence rate and the control performance of the the proposed algorithm is much better than FXRLS algorithm and FXLMS algorithm.
