The Mark on the Wall by Virginia Woolf mirrors the features of modernists' fictions.By a close analysis of the smart use of mixed tenses as well as the "stream of consciousness" technique in the short story,the paper exemplifies Woolf's unique writing style,an innovation against the traditional narrative devices.
