In this letter, we develop an energy efficient algorithm for IEEE 802.16e mobile WiMAX system. Based on a British Telecom (BT) WiMAX simulation platform, we develop uplink scheduling algorithms for both single user and multi-user cases. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can reduce the energy consumption for uplink WiMAX system effectively.
