摘要

Adsorption of Ni(II) by amine-functionalized MCM-41 (NH2-MCM-41) was studied with response surface methodology (RSM) employed to optimize the adsorption process. The independent variables include pH, metal concentration, temperature, and adsorbent dosage. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) of RSM indicated that the obtained second-order polynomial model was appropriate to predict the adsorption process. Meanwhile, the maximum removal efficiency for Ni(II) was 93.20%, which was achieved at pH 6.50, metal concentration 10.00 mg/L, temperature 35 degrees C, and adsorbent dosage 5.00g/L. The kinetic study revealed that the pseudo-second-order kinetic model could describe the experimental data better. While the intraparticle diffusion model suggested three stages of the adsorption process. In addition, the adsorption data conformed well to Langmuir isotherm model. Thermodynamic study implied the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. The adsorption-desorption experiment showed that NH2-MCM-41 held good reusability.
