摘要

Simultaneous EB welding and heat treatment with multi-beam technology was investigated to diminish the cooling rate for near a titanium alloy, which included EBW simultaneously with preheating or post-heating. Welding figuration of simultaneous welding and heat treatment was favorable, and the welding cracks and porosities were reduced. The tests were carried on, including the microstructure, microhardness and tensile properties. The results show that the microstructure of the welds becomes coarser, and the microhardness is more homogeneous after simultaneous EB welding and heat treatment with multi-beam. Furthermore, the percentage elongation after fracture of the joints with simultaneous EBW and heat treatment is 30% more than that of conventional EB welding.
