摘要

New requirements for the key agreement protocol are needed due to the development and application of wireless mesh networks (WMNs). A hierarchical design scheme for the key agreement protocol was developed based on the features of the WMNs network where the MAP is fixed and STA is mobile. At the MAP layer, the MAP points are divided into groups with the ID-based public key cryptography (ID_PKC) used to generate the group session keys. At the STA layer, when the STA switches to another MAP point in the group, the one-way hash key chain is used to accomplish the access authorization and key agreement process. On the premise of ensuring security, this scheme simplifies the access authorization and key agreement process, with the time delay reduced and with the communication efficiency and quality improved.
