摘要
A scanning prism with polymer-stabilized blue phase liquid crystals (PS-BPLCs) was demonstrated with an impulsive blinking backlight system of high-resolution three-dimensional (3-D) display. The fast switching PS-BPLC prism, whose response time was less than 1 ms, may solve the resolution degradation problem for the autostereoscopic display. Also, the impulsive blinking backlight system may improve the dynamic crosstalk for 3-D perception. By optimizing the device structure and backlight system, the scanning prism-type autostereoscopic display may achieve low crosstalk, about 14%, for high-resolution 3-D display.
