摘要

Al-22 wt.%Si alloys with industrial and binary composition were gravity cast and using the melt-spinning technique to examine the influence of the cooling rate on the microstructure and mechanical properties. Different cooling conditions for these alloys will lead to a different variation of Si solubility in a matrix causing changes in mechanical properties. After solubilization heat treatment applied to allots, hardness values decrease front 334gf/mm(2) to 217gf/min(2) in case of melt-spun ribbons. Dilatometric analyses indicate that after solution heat treatment the alloy has not been stabilized.
