An Electrochemically Surface-modified Porous Granule Developed for Phosphate Removal from Aqueous Solution

摘要

A porous granule was developed from Kanuma clay, corn starch, iron powder, white cement, and calcium oxide for phosphate removal. An electrochemical surface modification (ESM) process was then adopted during the preparation of the porous granule (PG). The results reflect that PG is a more promising adsorbent than other clay mineral materials for phosphate removal from wastewater, and ESM process is approved to be a novel effective surface modification path.
